Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Your account: name and email address (and, if you sign in with Google, your profile picture), through our sign-in provider.
• Practice: which questions you attempt, every answer you try, whether it was right, how long you spent, hints and solutions viewed, proofs and photos you hand in, bookmarks and the sessions you create.
• Classroom: for teachers, the application details you give (name, phone, institute, centre, subjects) and the material you upload; for students, a short profile (name, class, target exam, centre), the agreement you ticked, the batches you join, photos or PDFs of your homework, flags and questions about results, and your results.
• Messages: what you send through the report or contact forms (name, email, optional phone number and your message).
• Settings: your email preferences, and a few choices remembered in your browser (such as dark mode).

How we use it

To run Qublem for you: matching you to questions at the right level, showing your progress, running homework between you and your teacher, checking homework, answering your messages, and sending the emails you haven't switched off. We do not sell your data, show ads, or use your work to train AI models.

What other people can see

• Leaderboard: your display name (or “Student” with a number if you haven't set one) and your rating. Your email address is never shown.
• Classroom: your teacher sees your student profile, your homework and your results in their batches. Other students don't see your work or results.

Checking homework with AI

Homework is checked by AI (Anthropic's Claude) against the answer key and model solutions, written by your teacher or by AI and matched to the answer key. Results checked this way are labelled “AI-checked”. For 24 hours after results you can flag a solution or question a result, and your teacher can review and change any of them — the teacher has the final say.

Services we use

These companies process data for us, only to provide their service:

• Clerk — sign-in and accounts
• Vercel — hosting the website, and storing practice proof photos
• Neon — our database, and private storage for Classroom PDFs and photos
• Anthropic — AI that reads study material, writes model solutions and checks homework
• Inngest — running background jobs (reading, solving, checking)
• Resend — sending emails

How long we keep it

Photos and PDFs of student homework are deleted automatically 7 days after results; results are kept so you and your teacher can see your progress. Unused Classroom files are cleaned up automatically, and module PDFs are deleted after a long period without use. Everything else is kept while you have an account.

Students under 18

Most students on Qublem are under 18. Before using Classroom, a student in class 9–12 confirms that a parent or guardian knows they use Qublem and agrees to this policy and our Terms. We collect only what practice and homework need. A parent or guardian can ask us to delete a child's account through the contact page.

Your choices

• Switch off the emails you don't want in your settings (in-app notifications stay).
• Delete your account yourself from your profile; your data is removed.
• Ask us anything about your data through the contact page.
